Miners Alley Children’s Theatre proudly presents the last production in its 2019 Season, The Story of the Nutcraker, running November 30 – December 21, 2019. Rory Pierce, Miners Alley Playhouse’s Children’s Theatre Director encourages you to get tickets, “Don’t miss this amazing holiday classic for the whole family!”

Nearly everyone knows the tale of the Nutcracker:  A gift to Marie from her Godfather Drosslemeier on Christmas Eve. Sadly, the beautiful Nutcracker gets broken and later that night Marie goes to check up on it. To her surprise, it has come alive, and a story-within-the-story begins! The audience is invited to become a part of the Nutcracker story and everyone gets to live happily ever after.

The Story of the Nutcracker is adapted and directed by Rory Pierce. Rory’s adaptation of the Nutcracker has become a tradition at Miners Alley. He has performed in many shows at MAP as well as running the Children’s Theatre and Education programs. He is probably best remembered for his many years at the Heritage Square Music Hall.
