Making Music Last a Lifetime with Children's Music Academy of Arvada

Teaching foundational music to parents and students

By Eugenia Appelhans, Children's Music Academy of Arvada September 18, 2020

The first time I heard of Children’s Music Academy, I thought it sounded crazy. How can someone teach young children piano/keyboard, singing, theory (harmony, melody, rhythm, note reading, key signatures, time signatures, scales), ear training, composition, ensemble playing, guitar, recorder and a variety of percussion instruments? But when I had an opportunity to sit through a class, I was blown away by how much was squeezed into an hour each week, and how much children were learning alongside their parents without even knowing it! Not only were they learning, they were having fun!

We offer classes to children aged 3-8 years old. All our classes are parent participation, so you get to come, play, and learn right along with your child. We start new classes in the Fall and in the Winter, and we always have free trial classes available so that you can have a chance to see what we are all about.
