“Matilda the Musical” is a superb performance that you must see. It is hilariously funny, wacky, and sweet. I laughed every two minutes or more during this delightful musical.
This outstanding production was jam packed with a huge cast of incredibly talented actors. Every actor in the large cast stood out and shone brightly, a rare thing with a large cast. The children actors were impressive, spot on their parts, and each one distinctive in presenting their characters.
Mabel Tyler gave an unwavering performance of Matilda’s feisty, mischievous character. It was easy to forget how young the actress playing Matilda, Mabel Tyler really was while watching her sharp performance. I could not help thinking how hard these young actors work to be so good.
As a delightful twist, Mrs. Wormwood, played by Cassie Silva, is a competitive ballroom dancer. She and her charming dance partner Rudolpho, played by Jaquez Andre Sims, light up the stage with their steamy dancing and hilarious antics.
Every cast member deserves individual recognition for their performance. I thoroughly enjoyed “Matilda the Musical”. My nine year old daughter loved it as well. I have enjoyed many outstanding musicals in my life. “Matilda the Musical” just became one of my favorites. I highly recommend you run out and buy tickets to this performance now. This superb musical will delight and entertain you and your family. It is well worth the ticket price. I suggest school age children up through adults attend this show. Adults will love this zany musical. Preschool age children may not be able to tolerate the length or the sustained high energy of the show.
