West Arvada Dog Park

17975 W. 64th Pkwy., Arvada, CO

What we love about West Arvada Dog Park: The park is fenced and safe for dogs to run off leash (please keep dogs ON-LEASH in parking lot area). There is over 10 acres of off-leash fun, including two separately fenced small and shy dog areas and during the warmer months agility equipment is available.

Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park

W 100th & Simms, Westminster, CO

What we love about Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park: This 420-acre site is very popular, attracting dog lovers from all over the north metro area. The area is partially fenced, so it is important that dogs are under voice command. The size of the park allows dogs to run, fetch and play.

Forsberg-Iron Spring Park

14800 W Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood, CO

What we love about Forsberg-Iron Spring Park: Bring your pet for some off-leash fun at this fenced dog park, which includes two separate areas. Water available in summer, but bring some along in colder months.

Dog Park at Tony Grampsas

4471 Salvia St, Golden CO

What we love about Dog Park at Tony Grampsas: Pets love to play at this off-leash, 2.5-acre dog park, which is fully fenced with a creek where pets can cool off. Be sure to bring your own water. Follow the sidewalk past the ball fields about 300 yards to reach the park.

Dog park tips

Follow the rules! Typical dog park rules include:

  • Dogs must be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and shots, and supervised at all times.
  • Clean up after your pooch! No one wants to step in that mess.
  • Know your dog: If you have a dog that has shown aggression toward other animals, children, or adults, it's best to leave them at home.
  • Taking your kids? Supervise them closely! Let them know that running and loud play aren't a good idea around dogs they don't know well, and teach them how to approach a dog to pet it.
  • Don't bring your lunch. It only invites begging and aggressive behaviors.
  • Be polite and considerate of other park users. Common sense prevails!
