A Magical Night at Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns:
✨🎃 Pumpkins, Lights, and Family Fun in Denver 🎃✨
My family and I had the chance to experience Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns at Hudson Gardens (Littleton/Santa Fe Drive), and it was pure Halloween magic. From the moment we arrived, the kids’ eyes lit up with excitement, and honestly, mine did too.

What Awaits You
Imagine walking through a glowing trail filled with thousands of hand carved pumpkins, colorful lights, and music that sets the mood just right. Everywhere we turned, my kids spotted characters they know and love, brought to life in pumpkin displays. Between the shimmering lights and festive atmosphere, it felt like stepping straight into a Halloween wonderland.

Atmosphere & Vibe
One thing I loved most was the energy of the crowd. Families came dressed up in costumes, from toddlers in pumpkin onesies to big kids in elaborate superhero getups. It added such a fun, community feel to the night.
This event truly works for the whole family. Whether you’ve got little ones in strollers, big kids who want to explore, or even teens who might be “too cool” for Halloween fun, there’s something to capture everyone’s attention. The paths are wide and stroller or wagon friendly, which made it easy for us to get around with everything we needed in tow.

S’mores Finale
Toward the end of the trail, you’ll find food and beverage stations offering festive treats like turkey legs, grilled corn, churros, hot chocolate, and more.
But the absolute favorite moment for my kids was the s’mores station. Toasting marshmallows by open flame under a canopy of glowing pumpkins, then sandwiching them with chocolate and graham crackers. it felt like the perfect cap to the night. Sticky fingers, chocolate faces, warm bellies, and happy hearts.

Practical Bits & Tips
- The event runs on select nights from mid-September through early November.
- Tickets are online only and often sell out ahead of time.
- The event is held rain or shine.
- With the expanded food and drink options, you’ll want to plan for a snack stop or two.
If I could change one thing, I’d have my kids wear their Halloween pajamas to the event. That way, when they inevitably fell asleep in the car on the way home, I could have just carried them straight to bed. Lesson learned, and a tip I’ll definitely be using next time.
